A menu as multicultural as Berlin

The well-known Tisk Speisekneipe in Neukölln celebrated its reopening in April this year after six months of renovation. The menu and look have been changed, the chef is different but still the same in a way. After a long break, during which Ahmed Omer Ahmed was part of the founding team of the beautiful Sacrebleu wine bar in Schillerkiez, he is now running Tisk again together with his business partner Haleh Esbak von Jascheroff. The restaurant is now noticeably cooler than before and has moved away from the previous pub-inspired concept. Beige curtains cover the window front, allowing guests to really immerse themselves in the culinary evening, which is somewhere between casual dining and consistent product cuisine. The place feels modern and clean, yet cozy and private.

Ahmed has also brought back the locally inspired product cuisine for which he was awarded a Michelin Green Star back in 2021. The German classic Senfei, organic rotisserie chicken, and seasonal vegetables are served alongside kimchi potatoes and vegan popcorn falafel so that guests can look forward to a small but perfectly balanced menu. There is also a small but fine selection of drinks: various wines, homemade drinks, and non-alcoholic alternatives. All in all, a modern concept that brings together Berlin's many cultures in a tasty and creative way. Lunch is also offered on selected days during the week.
