KINK Restaurant

A hedonistic dining experience

Art meets food

A space not only for enjoyment and hiatus but for inspiration and cultural exchanges. KINK, an urban oasis in the heart of Berlin, combines high-quality drinks with futuristic dishes and art. The large space is a former mid-19th-century brewery and consists of four separate parts: an open kitchen restaurant with a first-floor gallery transitioning into a private dining room overlooking the vast bar, an in-house laboratory as well as an intimate event space that can be accessed both from the bar and from the adjacent garden. The whole space is characterized by a combination of traditional and futuristic elements, resulting in a transformative atmosphere for all senses.

Music, drinks and cultural exchanges

KINK is the manifestation of KINK founders Oliver Mansaray and Daniel Scheppan’s experimental and synergetic approach to modern gastronomy when conceptualizing. Their Italian head chef Ivano Pirolo, who previously worked at the two-Michelin-starred FACIL in Berlin, always comes up with delicate dishes that work together with the selection of extraordinary drinks and biodynamic wines. There is a reason why their bar team was awarded as the best bar team by Mixology 2023. Processes ranging from fermentation and sous-vide to cryo-concentration, sous-pression, infusions, and distillation are central to the curation of their menu. KINK Bar & Restaurant also welcomes a cultural program ranging from electronic, house, and disco DJs to classical music performances. The event series KINK x Invites formalizes the exchange with culinary aficionados, welcoming both international guest chefs and local producers to introduce their philosophies, flavors, and techniques. The owners are particularly proud of how professional relationships with artists, DJs, and local food & drink connoisseurs have evolved into friendships. KINK is the kind of place you first visit as a stranger and then leave as a friend.
