ITA Bistro

Modern open-fire cuisine

Influences from Argentinia, Mexico and Columbia

Latin-American cuisine, wood-fired bites, and a selection of natural wines. ITA Bistro, located at Helmholtzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg, impresses on various levels with its product-focused concept. The friends and owners, Micaela Longo and Javier Barbosa, worked in various Berlin fine dining places before they opened their own restaurant last year. The dishes on the menu are influenced by Argentinian, Mexican, and Colombian traditions, delighting the Berlin audience with intense and exhilarating aromas.

"I wanted to go to a place where a creative spirit of optimism could be felt. Berlin is just as hungry as we are."
Javier Barbosa
Product, People, Planet

Their motto „Product, People, Planet“ is reflected in the approach of having direct contact at eye level with the producers, who have a regional and seasonal line of action. When asked why Berlin was the choice for opening this unique concept, Javier Barbosa responds: "I wanted to go to a place where a creative spirit of optimism could be felt. Berlin is just as hungry as we are.". Now, just one year after its opening, ITA is already a well-known institution among culinary experts. Especially their Argentinian interpretation of Cotoletta alla Milanese is a fan favorite.
